Silence speaks volumes
Especially coming from someone who talks a lot
Today I have chosen to speak up
By chosing to speak not
I'm speaking up for those with no voice
For those with a voice who live in fear
I've chosen to shout in silence, I've made my choice
To send a messege everyone should hear
I have chosen to silence myself
That I may hear the soft cries of the opressed
Whose raw pain and anguish cannot be understood or sufficiently expressed
That I may be moved and move others to action
To help those who are neither fully alive
Nor dead
Whose hope hangs by a single, delicate thread
